My views on using the internet to support student research are heavily in favor for using the internet. i believe the internet is the future of education in that it is the most readily available tool to use. However, I do beleive that students should not start using the internet until they are in high school. Early childhood should be spent learning concepts and gaining reading skills. Later in life when students have already gained a vast amount of knowledge, they should employ the use of the internet to their advantage.
A way the internet could be used for student learning is right in front of me. The blog posts that we do for this class are a good way for us to reflect upon what we learn in class so that we understand everything we learn even better than if we didn't use this blogging site.
As far as concerns for me go on supervising students in a technology atmosphere, the only thing i would be worried about is immature students looking up inappropriate websites. That is my only fear for all students of all ages.
