My thoughts on using Web 2.0 technologies in the classroom vary by age level. For one thing I don't believe in using such technology in any grade below grade 9. i believe this time is for students to learn basic concepts of education and enhance their reading skills. Once students reach high school they should be able to employ this technology to their advantage in gaining a higher education.

My thoughts on using wikipedia as a learning resource are a little bit skewed. I believe wikipedia is a great source to use in a scientific setting since it makes it easy for students to gain quick access to formulas and thorys on short hand notice. However, I sdon't believe wikipedia is a good tool for subjects such as english or humanities classes. Students don't get the same experience reading actual material versus just looking up a main idea on wikipedia.

The skills I gained in the last week that will be especially useful in my educational career are the skills we learned on using certain websites to our advantage as research databases. Also I learned how to asess the reliability/legitability of websites. I wouldn't want to use a website that is biased or false in anyway what so ever.
