My powerpoint 2 assignment was pretty interesting. I used a lot of topics that pertained to my interests such as cars, sports, and animals. I made the slides using different formats for questions than answers. This makes it more visually stimulating for the students to decifer between questions and answers. I also used action accessories to relay from one slide to the next which makes the powerpoint more interesting.
I would use a lot of posters in my classroom as non-computer visual aids. I believe creating a positive learning environment makes for the best experience for students, and posters are the best way to accomplish this. I want to teach chemistry, I believe an essential proponent to every chemistry and siceince class is a big visual periodic table of elements.
A few skills that i acquired in the past week are having the ability now to use powerpoint as a crucial way of conveying information to my students. This will save me count-less hours of scribbling on a chalkboard. Using my more advanced knoweldge of powerpoint that I have gained in the past week will make me able to make the powerpoints a lot more intersting than I could ever have done before.
